Murph is a legendary CrossFit Hero Workout dedicated to U.S. Navy SEAL Lt. Michael Murphy, who gave his life in Afghanistan on June 28, 2005. Introduced on August 18, 2005, it has become a powerful tradition observed every Memorial Day by CrossFit gyms and athletes across the globe. The workout itself is grueling, but its purpose is to honor the courage, sacrifice, and service of Lt. Murphy and all who have served.
Having completed Murph multiple times, I felt a deep respect for what it represents—but also a desire to give back in a more tangible way. While the workout offers a meaningful experience, I wanted to create something lasting that would support veterans beyond the gym. I recognized an opportunity to turn personal participation into a broader act of impact.
I designed a single, impactful graphic to honor Lt. Murphy and the spirit of the Murph workout. The design was created specifically for apparel, allowing athletes and supporters to wear something that reflects the workout’s deeper meaning. All proceeds from the sales were donated to the Wounded Warrior Project, turning the graphic into more than just a design, it became a way to raise awareness and provide support for those who have sacrificed so much.
